Power Assure CTO to Present at Data Center World on Best Pratices in Data Center Power Optimization Will showcase its industry-leading energy management software
Santa Clara, Calif. - March 22, 2011 - Power Assure®, Inc., a data center infrastructure management solutions provider, today announced its Cofounder and CTO, Clemens Pfeiffer, will be a featured speaker at AFCOM Data Center World, taking place March 27 - 31, 2011 at the Mirage Hotel and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Additionally, Power Assure will showcase its suite of energy management software during the event at booth #110.
Titled, "Data Center Power Optimization: Good, Better and Best Practices," the session will be held on Tuesday, March 29 at 10:45 am. Mr. Pfeiffer will help prepare attendees for optimizing power use by taking them step-by-step through the three levels of good/better/best practices for monitoring and managing data center power utilization: Baseline measurements of power consumption end-to-end in the data center; systematic capacity and performance planning using what-if analyses; and employing automated run books to dynamically align server capacity with demand.
"Enterprises are struggling to deal with power demand increases, constrained capacity, limited power availability, and data center inefficiencies," said Pfeiffer. "Data centers will realize significant savings by understanding power monitoring and management approaches, and aligning capacity with demand to reduce power consumption by 50% to 60% while maintaining service levels."
Power Assure will feature its Dynamic Power Optimization software and Dynamic Power Management software. Booth attendees will learn how data center operators can better plan, manage and dynamically adjust capacity and associated facility resources with Power Assure's management and optimization software to reduce power costs, extend data center life, and increase capacity.
When: March 27 - 31, 2011
Where: Mirage Hotel and Convention Center Las Vegas, NV
Booth: Booth #110
Exhibit Details: Power Assure will showcase its Dynamic Power Optimization (DPO) software that automatically adjusts capacity and associated facility resources to reduce power costs, extend data center life, and mitigate risk against error and outage events. DPO combines a proven runbook automation platform with sophisticated demand-driven calculation algorithms to continuously track application demand, data center conditions and outside events to reduce power consumption by an average of 50% without impacting service levels.
Additionally, Power Assure will demonstrate its Dynamic Power Management (DPM) software that integrates with existing hardware and systems to pull real-time data into a customizable dashboard of current performance, historical trends, and actionable insight. The continuous analytic engine processes data in real-time to show how various potential changes impact the overall data center, to aid in equipment placement, capacity planning, and consolidation.
